If you end up in the Rogueport Sewers room that has 3 Shine Sprites, you will be able to use a Boat Panel, regardless of whether you have the Curse or not. After this, any loading zone you enter will be random. The cutscene with Goombella will be skipped, and then you will be given all of the partners. Starting from a new file, you will be placed at Rogueport Square. You can avoid ever warping to the Credits by naming your file the Star character, as shown in the 'FileNameNoCredits' picture. Spin Jumping and going onto water with Yoshi will still cause you to fall into it normally. You are able to Walk and Jump on water.
